Information On
September 2, 1979, while playing the big six wheel in Resorts International
Casino in Atlantic City, the defendant did place a bet on the table
after the wheel had stopped and the winning number already been
established. The pad on the swindling and cheating wager was $40.
On October 3, 1980, the defendant entered a guilty plea to N.J.S.
5:12-113b, a disorderly person's offense before the Honorable Paul
R. Porreca in Mays Landing, New Jersey. Mr. Verdelli will be sentenced
after the appropriate pre-sentence investigation has been completed.
The sentence date is set for October 24, 1980. Mr. Verdelli has
a prior criminal conviction for possession of stolen property and
larceny for which he was incarcerated at the Youth Correctional
Center in Yardville. On February 13, 1981, Mr. Verdelli was sentenced to time already served in the Atlantic County Jail. No fine was imposed upon Mr. Verdelli. |
